Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, yesterday visited some of the Minisitries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), within the state secretariat, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. While addressing the civil servants in the state capital, the Governor promised to improve their welfare.
During the visit, which happened to be on the first day of work in the year 2018, he commended the civil servants for their dedication to duty and urged them to take more seriousness in the course of duty.
The governor, who also appreciated all the civil servants in the state for their contributions towards the development of Ogun State. He then assured them of improved welfare.
According to Governor Ibikunle Amosun, the civil servants, are always ready to give their support to any government that is ready to work,” and also mentioned that “If we want to get it right, the Civil Service must be well strengthened.”
The Governor also promised that the operations and filing system of the MDAs will be digitalised, to complement the hard copy filing system, promising to work on the regular release of bulk payment for the effective running of the offices.
