Arsene Wenger rates Aaron Ramsey's chances of playing against Manchester City
Arsene Wenger is hopeful that Aaron Ramsey will be available to start for Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.
A persistent groin injury has meant Ramsey has only managed four appearances for Arsenal since the turn of the year and the midfielder missed the side’s 1-0 defeat to Tottenham in the north London derby at Wembley.

The Welshman was also absent for Arsenal’s 3-0 defeat of Ostersunds FK in the first leg of their Europa League last-32 clash and will miss the return leg at the Emirates.

Wenger confirmed that Ramsey and Mesut Ozil will not feature on Thursday night and revealed that David Ospina, Danny Welbeck and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are likely to start.
Asked about Ramsey’s fitness ahead of the match, Wenger said: ‘He’s not in the squad for tomorrow. He had a good training session but he’s a bit short for tomorrow.’
Wenger insisted that he is not ruling out the possibility of Ramsey playing against City on Sunday.
He added: ‘We’ll see how his evolution goes from now until Sunday I don’t rule him out yet but it depends how well he can improve the intensity of his training.
