Alicia Keys, 33, is the latest American act to be won over by the
compelling rhythm and genuine lyrics of the Afrobeat genre of music,
made popular by music legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti. The 15 time Grammy winner yesterday posted a pic of Femi Kuti's new album titled "No Place for my Dream" to her over 32,780,001 friends on facebook and 18 million twitter fans with the caption:
"This album is sooooo ILL!!! Rockin it now! Inspiration abounds, listen2 these lyrics! Undeniable! #musicthafeedsyou[sic]"
Its only a matter of time before Nigerians start to get the deserved recognition for good music on the international scene, only a matter of time.
