One of the biggest Event Planner in Nigeria, Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, MD/CEO of Zapphaire Events and Group shared her 12 years experiences in the event industry on Owambe Leading Light segment. When asked how Zapphaire Events grew quickly, been a well-respected player in the event industry. What did you focus on to stand out from the competition?
People ask me this question every time. One of the key things is that I was being innovative and always sought to improve myself. I don’t rest on your oars or think that I have arrived. I focus on constantly trying to better yourself and making sure that the next event is better than the last. Also, I paid attention to my brand standard.
There are a lot of event planners out there now, but being in the industry for 12 years now, our brand is all about consistency. People have seen that the Zapphaire brand is consistent and reputable. Our brand is very particular about what we say; we mean it and do it. We keep our brand promise.
