Olori Wuraola Declared Free to Remarry + Elders Return Bride Price to Ooni of Ife

Olori Zaynab Wuraola Obanor is finally free to remarry after her 17-month-old marriage to Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi crashed some weeks ago.

It was gathered that the customary bride price paid by the Ooni had been fully returned to him by the elders of her family in Benin City, Nigeria.

Sources reveal that the union which was contracted in March 2016 in elaborate ceremonies held in Benin and Ife hit the rocks over alleged infidelity – this has been disproved by Olori Wuraola.

According to The Boss Newspapers, a source said the Ooni was reluctant to collect the bride price, but was persuaded by the elders as a way of ending the controversy surrounding the marriage separation.

Read the trending report below:

”The coast seems clear for Queen Zaynab, the former wife of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi to begin a new life and remarry if she so wishes as reports reaching us indicate that elders of her family have returned her bride price.

We gathered that elders of the Otiti family of Benin as is customary, returned the bride price as is customary during the week and it was a strictly hush-hush family affair.

According to a source in Benin, The Ooni was at first reluctant but was persuaded by the elders as a way of closing the controversial marriage and separation… The OONI was quoted to have exclaimed that “she’s free now, she’s free…”

The elders had sued for amicable settlement instead of a rough separation. Both families appeared relieved about this final foreclosure of the marriage that lasted less than two years.”

This comes two weeks after Wuraola officially released a statement to confirm the end of their union.
