Ben Affleck isn't letting the haters get him down. After making headlines for his massivephoenix back tattoo when he was spotted filming in Hawaii earlier this month, the actor opted to cover up when he went kayaking with girlfriend Lindsay Shookus on Tuesday. The couple, who first confirmed their romance last July, looked carefree as they paddled in the water.
The happy outing comes just on the heels of The New Yorker's satirical piece about the actor called "The Great Sadness of Ben Affleck," in which it described his colorful ink as a "garish tattoo." It seems like Ben might have the last laugh, though, as he tweeted the publication back on Thursday, writing, "@NewYorker I'm doing just fine. Thick skin bolstered by garish tattoos." HA!
