Nigeria’s Senate President, Bukola Saraki has announced he is leaving the All Progressives Congress, Nigeria’s ruling party.
Saraki made the announcement on the micro-blogging, Twitter on Tuesday evening, July 31.
The Senate President tweeted: “I wish to inform Nigerians that, after extensive consultations, I have decided to take my leave of the All Progressives Congress (APC)”. His defection will be coming a week after 14 Senators and 37 House of Representatives members dumped the ruling party.
