Kemi Badenoch, a prominent figure within the UK Conservative Party, has publicly called upon Prime Minister Keir Starmer's government to implement her party's proposed "deportation bill," arguing it is essential for reducing immigration figures.
In a video shared via her X (formerly Twitter) account, Badenoch cautioned that approximately two million immigrants could automatically acquire British citizenship by the following year, urging Starmer to adopt the Conservative Party's legislative proposal. "By next year, we could see two million immigrants automatically granted British citizenship. That's nearly double the population of Birmingham," Badenoch stated. "We have introduced a deportation bill because we are determined to reduce immigration."
Badenoch had previously unveiled the "deportation bill" on Tuesday, outlining its key provisions aimed at curbing immigration. She highlighted the bill's benefits, which include the deportation of all foreign criminals, mandatory age verification checks, stricter visa regulations, the suspension of the Human Rights Act in immigration cases, making asylum support repayable, and the removal of any permanent right to stay in the UK for those reliant on benefits.
"Until this becomes law, we cannot address the issue effectively. Labour should adopt it immediately. It's time for a firm approach. That's precisely what the Conservatives' deportation bill offers. Our nation is a home, not a temporary lodging," she asserted.
