Tacha Breaks Down Over Benue Killings, Calls Out Nigerian Government

Nigerian media personality, Tacha, has sparked national conversation after sharing a heartfelt video on Instagram, reacting to the recent mass killings in Benue State where over 200 people were murdered. Visibly emotional, she questioned the government’s silence, asking, “What did we do wrong being Nigerians?”

Her words hit hard when she said, “It had to take the Pope before our government talked about this.” Many Nigerians resonated with her frustration, as the government only responded after the Pope publicly condemned the killings.

Here's the video:

Tacha went further by writing an open letter to the President, governors, and the First Lady, urging them to show compassion, visit the victims’ families, and fly the national flag at half-mast. Her message wasn’t just about grief — it was a bold demand for empathy, action, and accountability.

In a time where many are afraid to speak, Tacha's voice has reminded Nigerians that silence in the face of injustice is dangerous. The people are tired. Nigeria deserves better.
