2Baba Opens Up on Second Marriage and Allegations of Racial Insensitivity in Candid Podcast Interview

Nigerian music legend 2Baba (also known as 2Face Idibia) sat down for a revealing interview on the Binging with Game Changers Podcast, offering candid insights into his personal life and past controversies.

In the podcast, 2Baba addressed his second marriage to Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru—confirming the relationship despite enduring a highly publicized separation from his wife, Annie Idibia. He emphasized the importance of accepting responsibility, saying:

“Accepting responsibility is key. I don't have to deceive myself because when I do, I'm now the deceiver… Knowing that's the way of the world, you must grow thick skin and keep your head high.”  

He acknowledged that public scrutiny—especially regarding his divorce and new proposal can be painful but insisted he has grown beyond external noise:

“Sometimes people talk… It hurts. But… knowing there's always a solution, no matter what.”  

Turning to the blackface controversy, 2Baba finally offered context and clarity. He explained that certain music videos and past statements were misinterpreted. While he didn’t shy away from the scrutiny, he admitted that better cultural awareness and sensitivity are essential in today’s global climate.
