Crispdal & Purple Speedy Bag "Force of TikTok" at Trendupp Awards — Then Survive Terrifying Car Crash

Nigerian TikTok superstars Chinye Elijah (Crispdal) and Peace Pever (Purple Speedy) made headlines at the 2025 Trendupp Awards after taking home the prestigious Force of TikTok recognition, before experiencing a terrifying car crash shortly afterward.

During the ceremony, Crispdal accepted the award with a heartfelt message: “My people, I’m sorry I haven’t posted about my win…,” but it was clear that success had arrived—fans immediately began flooding their feeds with congratulatory messages, celebrating their dominance on TikTok.

They had risen to fame with their comedic skits and dance challenges—Purple Speedy’s dance clip even hit 2.1 million likes last month.Their authentic chemistry and online presence have made them household names, and the Force of TikTok award confirms it.

However, the celebrations turned somber very quickly. According to a report from Within Nigeria, on their way home, the duo “were involved in a terrible accident that almost claimed our lives”—a collision that left their vehicle badly damaged. Crispdal later shared on his Instagram:
“The devil tried to steal our joy on our way back… we were involved in a terrible accident … but we serve a living God and we are heavily defended.”
Purple Speedy echoed the sentiment in her own story, thanking God for their safety and life spared.

Fans have since sent prayers and well-wishes, expressing relief that two of TikTok’s most-loved creators are okay.

From triumph to trial in just hours, Crispdal and Purple Speedy proved their resilience. They won "Force of TikTok" for shaping Nigerian digital culture—and then showed us exactly how powerful survival and solidarity can be.
