Actress and film producer Ruth Kadiri has set the record straight: she is not hiding her husband. They’ve simply chosen to keep their marriage private.
Speaking on the Dear Ife podcast, Kadiri explained the decision was mutual. Their 2019 wedding had just 50 invited guests, exactly what they wanted to keep things simple and peaceful .
Ruth said the choice has been one of the best she ever made. “It helped me stay grounded and define our relationship. No external drama or opinions overshadow our bond,” she shared. She noted that her husband, happily married with her and another child, enjoys the freedom of a private life – no pressure, no spotlight.
Addressing rumors of secrecy, the actress emphasized that her husband is not a secret. “People who know me know him,” she said. They attend church and events together, and her husband shows up to family gatherings, though he simply prefers not to post about it on social media.
Ruth also pointed out that being less exposed to public scrutiny allows their marriage to flourish away from celebrity noise. “Marital pressures as celebrities… we don’t talk about it enough. I’m grateful there’s an aspect of my life I can control,” she added.
Ruth Kadiri and her husband are parents to two daughters, building a family rooted in intentional privacy and love. Her message was clear: being private doesn’t mean being secret, it's about preserving peace, normalcy, and authenticity.
