Peter Obi’s Son, Oseloka, Breaks Silence on Viral Photo Controversy

After days of speculation and online chatter surrounding a viral picture, Oseloka, the son of Labour Party’s presidential candidate Peter Obi, has finally spoken out. In a lengthy statement released to the public, Oseloka addressed the trolls, critics, and false narratives that have trailed him in recent times.

He explained that while he has mostly ignored online gossip in the past, the continuous attempts to drag his name — and by extension, his father’s reputation — pushed him to set the record straight. According to him, the viral photo being circulated is nothing more than an ordinary picture with friends, but it has been deliberately twisted to fuel baseless rumors.

In his reply, Oseloka made it clear that he is his own man, with his own career path and personal life, and should not be used as a pawn in political battles aimed at his father. He condemned the spread of falsehoods, describing them as distractions from the pressing challenges facing Nigeria, including insecurity, a struggling economy, and poor governance.

The young actor also reaffirmed his respect and support for his father, highlighting that despite differences, Peter Obi has always modeled integrity and service to the nation. Oseloka urged Nigerians to focus on real issues rather than gossip, insisting that the future of the country is far more important than personal attacks.

His statement has since stirred reactions online, with many praising his composure and others urging the public to move on from the controversy.
