Former Big Brother Naija star and serial entrepreneur, Anita Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, is gearing up for one of her boldest moves yet, an attempt to enter the Guinness World Records.
She announced that she will be attempting to break the record for the most makeovers in 24 hours, during a three-day beauty festival scheduled to take place from October 10 to 12, 2025, at the John Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture and History, Lagos.
Tacha plans to set a new milestone by organizing a marathon session of makeovers that will run for 24 hours straight. The feat, if achieved, will not only earn her a Guinness World Record title but also spotlight Nigeria’s growing influence in the global beauty industry.
Beyond the record-breaking attempt, the three-day festival promises to be a massive gathering for beauty professionals, enthusiasts, and entrepreneurs. The event will feature makeup demonstrations, fashion and skincare workshops, hair and wellness sessions, empowerment seminars, business training, and exhibitions showcasing the very best of Nigeria’s beauty industry. It is designed as more than just entertainment—it will serve as a platform for skill-building, industry growth, and economic empowerment.
Speaking on the initiative, Tacha highlighted her motivation: to make history while showcasing Nigeria’s creativity, culture, and economic potential through beauty and lifestyle. She also called on makeup artists, beauty experts, and enthusiasts across the country to join her in this historic move.
Hosting the event at the Yoruba Cultural Centre grounds the record attempt in heritage and pride, while also connecting small business owners and beauty professionals to new opportunities. Tacha’s bold leap reminds Nigerians, especially young creatives, that global recognition is achievable through innovation and persistence.
With this Guinness World Record attempt, Tacha is not just chasing a personal milestone—she is putting Nigeria’s beauty industry on the global map. Will she break the record? The world will be watching this October in Lagos.
