Cardi B Soars: Drone Album Drop Lands Her a Guinness World Record

Cardi B just took promotion into the skies—literally—and made history. In a move that blends music, tech, and stardom, she set a Guinness World Record when she delivered 176 signed CDs of her new album Am I the Drama? via drones across Dallas-Fort Worth in one hour. The feat was confirmed by Guinness: “Most deliveries by UAV drones in one hour: 176, by @iamcardib @AtlanticRecords @Wing & @Walmart at multiple locations today across the Dallas-Fort Worth region, Texas, USA.”

The setup was impressive. Cardi B teamed up with Walmart, Atlantic Records, and Wing Drone Delivery to fly copies of her album, signed copies, to fans’ homes using unmanned aerial vehicles (drones). Fans in the region who participated in the launch woke up to a delivery like no other: their album arriving from the sky.

This isn’t just another marketing stunt. It’s a statement: how promotion itself is changing, how physical music still holds meaning, how fans want experience, novelty, moments to share. With “Am I the Drama?” Cardi B isn’t just dropping music, she’s pushing boundaries. And she’s proven she can break records doing it.

Adding to the milestone, the record-setting drone delivery comes alongside other highlights for Cardi. Am I the Drama? includes previous smash hits like “WAP” and “Up,” and has already been certified platinum shortly after its release.

Unsurprisingly, the internet lit up. Fans flooded social media with memes, jokes, admiration. Some joked about being jealous of Dallas-Fort Worth folks getting drone deliveries while others compared the stunt to video game achievements. But across the noise, there’s respect: this is ambitious, bold, extra, and exactly what Cardi B does best.

What does this mean for music rollout culture? It suggests that physical formats aren’t dead. Even in streaming age, a well-executed physical drop especially with surprise, creativity, spectacle still hits. Artists will be watching this, wondering: what’s our sky-drop? What’s our stunt that feels more like an event than just another release?

Cardi now has another title in her already loaded resume: Guinness World Record holder. She keeps pushing, innovating, reminding people that being a top artist today means not just singing, but dreaming bigger; the kind of big that makes history.
