Former President Joe Biden has reached a major milestone in his cancer journey, successfully completing a scheduled course of radiation treatment for an aggressive form of prostate cancer.
A Milestone Moment Shared
The 82-year-old former leader, who was diagnosed in May 2025 with an aggressive, high-risk prostate cancer that had unfortunately spread to the bone, marked the end of this treatment phase with a significant tradition in oncology: ringing the bell.
His daughter, Ashley Biden, captured the emotional moment in a video posted to her social media.
"Rung the bell! Thank you to the incredible doctors, nurses, and staff at Penn Medicine. We are so grateful!" Ashley Biden captioned the video, expressing the family's deep gratitude.
The Treatment Journey
A spokesperson for the former president confirmed the completion of the radiation course, which was part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
