BBNaija 2026: Nomy Disqualified From Show Ya Sef House After Repeated Defiance

Big Brother Naija Season 11 has taken another dramatic turn as housemate Whitney “Nomy” Chukwu has been disqualified from the ongoing Show Ya Sef reality show. Big Brother announced Nomy’s disqualification on Monday, September 7, 2026, citing her repeated defiance of his instructions and disregard for the rules of the house.

Nomy’s exit followed another breach of the house rules while she was serving as the week’s Benchwarmer.

After the Head of House challenge, Nomy was assigned the Benchwarmer role and was instructed to remain on a designated bench and wear a special vest as part of the punishment. However, Nomy abandoned both the bench and the vest.

Big Brother subsequently confronted her in front of the other housemates, asking why she had left the items behind despite being instructed to use them.

The incident was not treated as an isolated offence. Big Brother pointed out that Nomy had previously been warned about her conduct and had already received a strike for repeatedly disregarding his instructions.

The latest development came weeks after Nomy became the first housemate of the season to receive a strike. On August 9, Big Brother issued her a strike for repeatedly defying his instructions and described it as her “last and final warning.”

Despite the warning, Nomy continued to face disciplinary issues, including concerns over lateness, disobedience and failure to comply with some mandatory activities.
With the latest Benchwarmer incident, Big Brother decided that the repeated violations had gone too far.

“Your privilege is hereby revoked”
During the tense moment, Big Brother reminded Nomy that participating in the Big Brother Naija house was a privilege.

He subsequently revoked that privilege and ordered her to leave the competition. Nomy was given 30 minutes to pack her belongings and leave the Big Brother house, bringing her journey on the show to an abrupt end.

Nomy’s exit is different from a regular eviction because she was not removed through the usual voting process.
She becomes the first housemate to be disqualified on disciplinary grounds in the Show Ya Sef season and is no longer eligible to compete for the season’s grand prize.

Her departure also leaves the remaining housemates with one less competitor as the Season 11 race continues.

Nomy, whose real name is Whitney Nneoma Chukwu, is a 26-year-old fashion entrepreneur from Anambra State who was raised in Lagos. Before entering the Big Brother Naija house, she was known for her fashion business, Ambition by Witme. Her bold personality and outspoken nature quickly made her one of the more noticeable personalities in the house.

However, her time on the show eventually became overshadowed by her repeated clashes with Big Brother over house rules and instructions.

Nomy’s disqualification has sparked conversations among BBNaija viewers, with reactions divided between those who believe Big Brother was justified in taking the decision and those who feel her punishment was too severe. Regardless of the debate, Big Brother’s decision is final.

For Nomy, a journey that began with hopes of making an impact on the Show Ya Sef season has ended unexpectedly  not through eviction, but through disqualification. Her exit serves as another reminder to the remaining housemates that while Big Brother Naija is a competition, following Big Brother’s rules remains a major condition for staying in the game.
