It has been confirmed that Nigerian Idol winner, Timi Dakolo and his wife escaped death from the crash of a chopper that crashed yesterday and killing Governor Yakowa of Kaduna and Owoeye Azazi.
Dakolo reportedly attended the burial ceremony of father of one of President Jonathan’s senior aides, Oronto Douglas’, and with his wife, Busola, whom he wedded only recently were to be lifted in the ill-fated helicopter yesterday.
He however was said to have decided otherwise at a stitch moment, to travel by road instead of joining the entourage that traveled by helicopter.
NET wrote that an executive for Now Muzik, Tony ‘Don T’ Anifite confirmed;
“Timi is doing okay, he was meant to fly on that chopper but he didn’t. I just got off the phone with him”.
Dakolo personally twitted moments later; “God saved me” butressing Mr. Tony’s assertion.
