After the first two disappointing matches at the ongoing African Cup of Nations in South Africa, theSuper Eagles of Nigeria today won the match against Ethiopia to clinch a spot in the Quarter Finals.
Two late penalties from Chelsea striker, Victor Moses put Nigeria into the quarter-finals with a 2-0 win over the Ethiopian side. In another game in Group C, Burkina Faso played a goalless draw against the defending champions, Zambia. This made Zambia crash out of the tournament as Nigeria and Burkina Faso moved on to the quarter finals.
Nigeria needed nothing but a win to advance to the next stage and they got just that. The match put a lot of people in jublilation mood across the country.
