Dapo ‘D’banj’ Oyebanjo, iconic Nigerian singer, and wife Lineo Didi Kilgrow have lost their one-year-old son, Daniel III.
The toddler reportedly drowned inside the swimming pool in the singer’s home in Ikoyi, Lagos.
D’banj on Sunday night posted a pitch black image on his Instagram page to confirm the sad incident.
He captioned the post with: “Trying Times. But my God is Always and Forever Faithful.”
The singer was reportedly in Los Angeles, US, for the BET Awards when the incident took place.
Daniel Oyebanjo III was said to have drowned on Sunday, June 24. He is the only child of D’banj and Kilgrow.
The singer secretly married Kilgrow in Lagos, in June 2016.
The wedding took place at the family home of D’banj in Maryland, Lagos.
The ceremony was so private that only nuclear family members of both D’banj and Kilgrow were in attendance.
D’banj’s wife is the step-sister of Samantha Walsh, famous for hosting the ‘Big Friday Show’.
