Yes, Rihanna is back.
The singer and cosmetics magnate is returning to the music scene with a bang, releasing a new single titled "Lift Me Up." For the soundtrack to "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," this is the first single, as confirmed by Variety.
Besides Tems and Rihanna, the song also features Ryan Coogler and Oscar winner Ludwig Göransson. It's a celebration of the late Chadwick Boseman's life and work.
Tems stated this about the song:
Inspired by our conversation and Ryan's vision for the film and the song, I set out to compose an ode to the loving embrace of everyone I've ever loved and lost. I pretended I could sing to them now and tell them how much they mean to me. Hearing Rihanna, who has been an inspiration to me, perform this song is a privilege.
The song is set for release this coming Friday, and you can pre-order/pre-save it right here.
