Nigerian music legend Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Face Idibia or 2Baba, has been officially appointed as the Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach to the Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia.
The appointment was confirmed in a viral video that captured the heartfelt moment Governor Alia expressed admiration for 2Baba’s influence, both as a cultural icon and as a son of the state.
“Let me thank you very deeply for supporting my administration and for preparing me for 2027,” the governor said with gratitude.
He went on to highlight 2Baba’s national recognition and commitment to youth empowerment:
“You are a guru of entertainment. Once you say 2Face, people start dancing—even without the song. We are happy you’re here. On behalf of the Benue State Government and our people, we want to give you more responsibility. You have the capacity to do more and help us chart a way forward to improve people’s lives.”
As Technical Adviser, 2Baba will play a key role in shaping entertainment policies, youth engagement initiatives, and grassroots outreach campaigns aimed at fostering unity, creativity, and development across Benue State.
The award-winning singer, known for hits like African Queen and Implication, is also a longstanding advocate for peace, education, and social progress through the 2Baba Foundation. His appointment marks a strategic blend of entertainment and governance—aimed at inspiring change and connecting government with everyday people.
