Afrobeats artist Peter Okoye, widely recognized as Mr. P from the iconic former duo P-Square, has recently spoken about his separation from twin brother Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) during an interview with Cool FM Lagos.
Okoye emphasized the personal satisfaction he has found in pursuing a solo musical path. He urged fans to respect their decision to disband, stating, "There’s a joy that comes with going solo. Please respect our decisions. We’ve tried it, it’s not working, everybody should learn to move on.”
The popular duo, which first split in 2016 and briefly reunited in 2021, confirmed their permanent dissolution in August 2024, as stated by Paul. Following their initial separation, Peter adopted the stage name “Mr. P,” while Paul continued his career as “Rudeboy.”
