Reports circulating online indicate the passing of Nollywood actress Monalisa Stephen, with information surrounding the circumstances of her death now emerging.
According to Seun Oloketuyi, the Chief Executive Officer of Best of Nollywood (BON), Monalisa Stephen passed away on Tuesday, May 13th, 2025, in Lagos. Oloketuyi announced on Wednesday, May 14th, via a Facebook post, that her death followed a battle with low blood sugar and internal bleeding.
Seun Oloketuyi stated that the actress’s younger sister verified the sad news of her passing.
His post read: “Brand influencer Monalisa Ayobami Stephen has passed away. She died yesterday in Lagos after a struggle with low blood sugar and internal bleeding. Her immediate younger sister confirmed the death of this hardworking and beautiful soul.”
