The creative ecosystem pulsed with vibrant energy as PodFest Naija – A Festival of Stories returned for its blockbuster second edition.
Curated by The Muvmnt Studio (the storytelling arm of AT3 Resources) in strategic partnership with Eventful Nigeria, the 2026 festival expanded heavily on its foundational mantra: Behind every platform is a person, and behind every person is a story.
Multi-Stage Immersion and the Power of Lagos Soft Power
Designed across six distinct thematic stages—Life, Love, Culture, Money, Health, and Brands—alongside the newly introduced Citizen Stage, the festival offered a vibrant intersection where everyday voices met industry titans.
A major highlight of the day was the keynote address delivered by the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat. Emphasizing the massive economic footprint of Nigeria's digital and creative economy, Hamzat noted:
"When a young man in Surulere records a conversation in his bedroom and it is streamed in Houston, in London or in Nairobi by the weekend, that is not just content. That is export. That is soft power. That is the Lagos economy speaking to the world in its own voice."
Star-Studded Insights and "The Uncovered Series"
Festival convener and CEO of AT3 Resources, Tosin Adefeko, stressed that the event was built to look past superficial metrics and focus on the human journey behind the microphone.
This philosophy came alive during The Uncovered Series, where Adefeko sat down with box-office powerhouse Funke Akindele. The intimate, career-spanning conversation stripped away the glamour of records and awards to examine the grit, resilience, reinvention, and personal sacrifice required to stay at the summit of African entertainment.
