A Plant Does Not Grow Over Night.

You know that feeling where it seems that everyone around you is where they are supposed to be apart from you? Everyone around seems to be advancing and making progress. Yet, you have been stuck in this one stage without any success. Weeks, months, and years go by. You do not see the light at the end of the tunnel and have no understanding whatsoever of the route your life is going.
The worst is when you look in your bank account and the numbers are not encouraging at all. Well, today I am here to encourage you and remind you that a lot of people are faking it until they make it. So, why don’t you learn to do so as well.
I can personally tell you that I experience this relentlessly. Nonetheless it is only a phase in life, right? During our mid to late 20’s seems like everyone is doing something. There are those who are travelling and taking amazing pictures.
Those who are in relationships, engaged and about to throw the wedding of a life time. Oh, let us not forget the ones who have already had their first child, already on to their next one and you’re getting all this information through your newsfeed.
There is always that one friend who you will call to chat about life and they stunt you with the news of them building a house from scratch. My goodness! The best is the many who are CEOs of their own companies. How is it possible that everyone is going somewhere and I am not?

In times like these, I take a moment to reflect on my life. I ask myself these following questions: Am I working towards a goal? Do I have a plan? Am I wasting time? Am I rushing life? Once I answer these set of questions, I realize in the right time my life will blossom as well. I just need to continuously water it with my hard work. A plant does not grow over night.
Social media such as Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat are all also to blame for. These mediums are honestly used to magnify the good parts of other people’s lives. You easily end up with a daily collection of the amazing moments in other lives and no memories of the reality of the life we are living.
Do remember there are the good times as well as the bad times on our journey. Yet no one ever zooms their lenses on the bad moments. Maybe, just maybe – we can take a little break off social media or limit our exposure to it. In all honesty, it helps. A social media fast really does give a good cleansing.

Listen don’t be too hard on yourself. It will lead to depression. That is not where we want to be. There is hope for all of us. If you have a goal and do work on it you will succeed. No matter how long it takes or how slow it is moving along, slow progress is always better than no progress.
